Aromatherapy and Essential Oils

Relaxing blend during busy times

To help take the stress out add:
• 3 drops of Lavender essential oil
• 2 drops of Chamomile essential oil and
• 2 drops of Marjoram essential oil
to a diffuser and breath in this beautiful relaxing blend.

Draw out nasty toxins from a big night out

A great blend to help your body recover from a big night out is:
• Fennel essential oil
• Lemongrass essential oil and
• Geranium essential oil
You can either add 2 drops of each to a diffuser or add 2 drops of each to 1 tablespoon of good quality carrier oil such as Sweet Almond oil. Massage this all over then sink into a lovely warm relaxing bath and let the essential oils draw out all those nasty toxins.

Prolong the tan & re hydrate the skin

This is a great time of year for holidaying and relaxing on the beach or by the pool. The following recipe is very helpful in prolonging your tan and re hydrating dry, sun kissed skin:
• 3 drops Chamomile
• 2 drops Geranium
• 5 drops Lavender
• 1 tablespoon almond or jojoba oil
Pour the carrier oils into a small bowl then add the essential oils. Mix well then massage into your skin at the end of a long, hard day relaxing by the beach or pool!

Mosquitos, Sand flies and Midges Bites

If you are travelling to an area where you may be affected by mosquitoes, sand flies, or midges make the blend below to take with you:
• 5 drops Citronella
• 10 drops Lavender
• 10 drops Peppermint
• 10 drops Thyme
Add the essential oils to a dark glass jar and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon of good quality carrier oil into a bowls then add 5 drops of the essential oil and mix well. Massage this into exposed areas of your skin.

If you have already been attacked and have itchy bites, try dabbing neat lavender essential oil onto your bites. This will take the itchiness out as well as helping to clear it up quickly.
