Patchouli

Patchouli, oil of the 60's is an effective anti-inflammatory for the skin, helpful in healing cracked or inflamed skin, acne, dermatitis and eczema. It is said to tone and tighten the skin, and is used in many anti wrinkle blends. At the same time it helps regulate oily skin and dandruff. Some authorities say it is useful in appetite suppressant blends and, with its skin toning qualities, in combating cellulite. It is an excellent base note for perfume blends, and is generally considered an aphrodisiac. In small quantities it has a mildly sedative effect, while in large quantities it may be stimulating. Also, Patchouli is ideal for those who just want to wear it as perfume, choose a sweet scented oil in a skin-safe 10% dilution to wear as a versatile scent.

Clary Sage
Clary Sage is a necessary oil for every woman. It helps ease menstrual cramps, balances PMS and eases the pangs of menopause. Add its hormonal properties which can help balance menstrual and menopausal difficulties to Geranium for almost any sort of 'female problems' both physical and emotional.
Clary Sage blended in honey in your morning tea can help regulate irregular periods.
For skincare, Clary Sage can inhibit excessive perspiration, and may be useful in treating very greasy scalp conditions. Clary can balance extreme emotions, reducing stress and restore inner tranquility.
Equal amounts of Clary Sage, Lavender and Ylang Ylang make a wonderfully feminine stress relieving diffuser or aromalamp blend.
Lavender Oil

Lavender oil is generally regarded as the most versatile essential oil.
Lavender essential oil has antiseptic, balancing, soothing and rejuvenating properties. The soothing properties of lavender essential oil make it an ideal oil for use in body skincare preparations for everyday problem skin.
It is suitable for all skin types. Lavender essential oil is also widely used for relaxation and in promoting a restful night.
Lavender essential oil blends well with: geranium, chamomile, tea tree,
cedarwood, clary sage, vetivert, patchouli, lime, orange, grapefruit and lemon.

Geranium

Geranium oil is a comforting and healing essential oil, with a floral, earthy and almost sweet aroma.
It has antifungal, antiseptic and diuretic qualities and can alleviate PMS symptoms including swollen breasts. It's good for use with skin conditions such as eczema and burns and has also been shown to help with rheumatism. If you have extremely sensitive skin you might want to do a patch test with Geranium, as it may irritate. Avoid use during pregnancy due to antispasmodic properties.
Add to your bath, or as a massage, Geranium combines well with Chamomile, Cypress and Juniper!

Bergamot

Bergamot has sedative yet uplifting qualities, making it ideal for all states of anxiety and depression, especially suitable for women and monthly hormonal fluctuations.
It has a strong affinity for the urinary system and is cleansing and purifying.
It can also be used to alleviate stress related skin conditions - a wonderfully aromatic oil that is uplifting for the spirit!
It is very versatile and can add a delicious note to any blend of oils - try blending it with jasmine, rose or sandalwood.
